AZAL Launches Baku – Shymkent Flights

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the national carrier of Azerbaijan, will launch regular flights to Shymkent starting from June this year. Tickets for the new route are already available for sale.

The inaugural flight on the Baku – Shymkent – Baku route is scheduled for June 16.

Flights will operate as follows:
• From June 16 to June 27 — twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays;
• From June 30 — three times per week.

Flight Schedule: Baku – Shymkent – Baku
Baku 22:30 – Shymkent 01:55+1 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
Shymkent 02:55 – Baku 04:55 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays

Shymkent will become the fourth city in Kazakhstan served by Azerbaijan Airlines.

Currently, the airline operates 20 weekly flights to Astana, Almaty, and Aktau according to the following schedule:

Baku – Astana – Baku: 6 weekly flights
Baku 21:55 – Astana 02:00+1 daily except Wednesdays
Astana 03:00 – Baku 05:15 daily except Thursdays

Baku – Almaty – Baku: 6 weekly flights
Baku 21:20 – Almaty 01:35+1 daily except Thursdays
Almaty 02:35 – Baku 05:25 daily except Fridays

Baku – Aktau – Baku: Daily
Baku 23:50 – Aktau 01:55+1
Aktau 02:55 – Baku 03:00
