Visa applications can be submitted in person or through an agent. All applications are made on the official standard application form with personal signature of the applicant only after paying the consular fee. Failure to do so may result in denial of entry.
In case of refusal or revocation of a visa application, the visa fee and the fee for the services of the agency shall not be refunded.
Visas are issued to Italy through the Italian Embassy in Astana, Almaty branch of the Embassy works as well but the documents are accepted only on Thursdays, and in any case the documents are sent to Astana.
To obtain a business visa the following documents are required:
Passport, copy of passport (the passport shall have at least 2 free pages for pasting the visa; the date of issue shall not exceed a period of more than 10 years)
Application and 1 photograph (3.5 to 4.5) cm
Original invitation (and copy), an extract from the Chamber of Commerce, a copy of the passport of the inviting party
Certificate of employment indicating salary and position, the order for the trip (translated into Italian or English)
Financial guarantee certificate from the bank on the availability of funds in the account (at the rate of 70 euros per day), the information on cash flow for the last 6 months, a copy of the credit card (translated into Italian or English). Travel checks shall not be accepted
Insurance in euros (copy)
Reservations of tickets (you can copy)
Reservation of hotels per stay (voucher on letterhead with seal and signature of the manager of the hotel, copy).
Address reference, or a copy of the house register (translated into Italian or English).
Travel visa:
Passport and copy of passport (the passport shall have at least 2 free pages for pasting the visa; the date of issue shall not exceed a period of more than 10 years)
Invitation from the hotel, composed on the letterhead of the hotel with the signature and seal of the manager. For a visitor's visa, it is necessary to provide the original guest invitation, a copy of the passport of the inviting person.
Application 1 photograph (3.5 to 4.5) cm
Certificate of employment with indication of salary and post (translated into Italian or English)
Confirmation for leave (translated into Italian or English)

Statement from the school (in Italian or English)
The child shall have a separate passport, children's passports, pasted to passports of parents shall not be accepted.
Note: if one parent has died and a minor child is traveling with family, it is necessary to translate and notarize a death certificate.
The Embassy accepts only the following medical insurance: AIG, AMANAT INSURANCE, ATF POLIS, ATLANTA POLICY, BTA ZABOTA, INTERTEACH, KAZAKHINSTRAKH, KAZKOMMERZ POLIS, NSK OIL INSURANCE COMPANY, NURPOLIS, PANA INSURANACE, KOMMESK-ОMIR, AXA/CENTRAS INSURANCE, CLASS ASSISTANCE, EURASIA.

Documents issued: Tue, Wed, Thu from 09:30 to 12:30
Processing time: 10 business days or more.
Cost: 60 euros - the visa fee, services of GLOBAL AIR - AMERICAN EXPRESS - is 5000 tenge, documents are sent at an additional cost.
