The applicant for a visa to Portugal shall have a passport valid for at least 3 months after the expiry of the visa.
Visa applications can be submitted in person or through an agent. All statements are made on the official standard application form with personal signature of the applicant by appointment only, and after paying the visa fee. Failure to do so may result in denial of entry into the country.
Registration is through the Consulate General of France in Almaty. Regardless of how many times the applicant visited Portugal, France, the documents are filed in person by the applicant only (none other).

Documents accepted: Monday - Thursday from 08.30 to 11.30
Documents issued: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 13.30 to 16.30, on Fridays from 8.30 to 11.30. Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents
Processing time: 5-7 working days.
Cost: the visa fee is payable in tenge - 60 euros (for short-term visas), 99 euros for long-term visa, services of GLOBAL AIR - AMERICAN EXPRESS will be 5000 tenge. The size of the consular fee may vary at the discretion of the embassy. In case of refusal or revocation of a visa, application fee and payment for services of GLOBAL AIR - AMERICAN EXPRESS shall not be refunded.
Since 01.12.11 pre-registration requirement has been introduced to submit documents to the embassy. You shall sign up on the website of the Embassy a day after the payment of 1450 tenge at any branch of Bank Center Credit
